How do I display a list of categories on my store page ?

I want to display the list at the side of the page so customers can click one and see the page for that category. I thought I had it once, but it disappeared and I can't find how to create it.

Thanks for your post, @potterB. You can turn those on by going to your Shop All page in the website editor, then enabling the Category Links option.

Hi Adam, 

A related question.  To provide visuals rather than just a list of categories, I thought that was what a categories page was for?

that said, going with that idea of having a categories page, then I am assuming the items pages are hidden (or not to be visible on the website?)

that is to say then when the customer clicks on the category, it goes to (it displays) the items in that category. 

Do I have this relationship described correctly?

If you add a categories page to your site where it lists items for the a category, those will link to item pages automatically for you so you don't need to add those in specific.

I understand that Categories are linked to the individual items, however if you check out my published website now not only do the Categories show but also the featured items down below.  Can I remove that featured items page or is that not recommended?  jrc-collection.square.site

Hi @pepe810 I responded to your other post but I wanted to clarify that you are talking about the Featured Items section on the homepage and not the Shop All page in the navigation bar. Thanks!

I was referring to the featured items page.  thanks for the followup.  

I need to go back to the support website and pay closer attention to the definitions.  

But, yes, I was a bit confused about just what the featured item page was all about and as it does suggested, it is about highlighting featured items.  It is not supposed to be a substitute as you hinted to display all your items as would the "shop all" selection.  

At the moment I have an item in my details library that I am trying to delete and i am not successful in doing so.  The edit item page for the item will not load..  I get the spinning wheel.

Which item are you trying to remove? Can you try opening the editor in a different browser in private/incognito mode? I generally tend to always edit in private/incognito mode just to make sure I don't run into any cache/cookie errors.
