Gone Fishing or a vacation message on website

how do i put up a "gone on vacation" message and hide the website while I am working on it? If I unpublished it, is there a message page?

I just replied to your other post about this, @Ever - un-publishing will serve a 404 page and would not let you use a custom message with it.
