Cannot change currency

Hi !!

I have a problem with the currency on the store : I cannor change it. Editing allows me to change the metrics, however instead of letting me change the curremcy, there is a strange message telling me to disconnect to change it...

Any clue to help me ?

Hello @HitRoadJack

Yes, you need to actually disconnect the payment processor that you're currently using, change the currency to your preferred one, and then reconnect again. That's the only way to change the currency as far as I know.

Hi !

When you have access at the editing panel for your website, go to Store > Installation Program > Proceed to payment.
Here you have to disconnect the processors (all of them I think).

PS : it should be close to 'Store > Installation Program > Proceed to payment' but this may not be the exact translation.

I have this problem, too. I can find 'store' but not 'instillation programs'. Could I be looking at the wrong 'store'?

To disconnect from a checkout provider, go to Store > Setup > Checkout. You'll see an option there to disconnect from whichever provider you've connected.

If you see it in the list of currencies then you can, @iamKB. If you don't see it listed then it would not be possible to switch to it right now, though.

Hi !

I did what you suggested : Disconnected payment processors and changed currency to $USD.
However, reconnecting the payment processors automatically changes the currency in $CAD.

I am not the one reconecting the payment processors so I have no idea of how this works.
Do you have any clue of how to solve this please ?

I am in the same boat. I live in Canada. I sell to US customers. I can disconnect pay,ent processors and it allows me to change to USD but when I add my payment processors back on it changes back to CAD. 🤨

This might be because your checkout provider itself is currently setup to use CAD. I did a little Googling and it doesn't seem like you can change the currency for that account, and would need to make a USD-specific account and connect to that one instead.

This isn't an available currency, unfortunately. Do you need us to look into a billing refund?
