Cannot change currency

When I go into Store, Set Up, General - there is only the option to change the measurement unit .... not the currency.

I have gone into Store, Set Up, Checkout - and disabled Stripe. And I have deleted everything in my store from my website. But I still am not being given an option to change the currency anywhere.

I'm so confused! Does anyone know what's going wrong?

Hi @Gillian ! I see you were able to connect with a live agent to go over changing currency. Please let us know if you need anything else and have a great day!

The live agent said I needed to change the currency with stripe. I contacted stripe and they have looked into it and are sure it needs changing with weebly.

The problem is not resolved. I have gone through all the advice I can find with weebly. I have disconnected stripe and set up a second stripe account ensuring the currency is set with sterling with them (weebly live help suggested this). The currency still shows up as usd. I have taken down my store and set it up again. I have searched the community and followed all advice I’ve found there. I have asked for help in the community and no one has replied. I replied to a comment in the community which is asking if weebly help actually exists because they had also requested help but received none. I have made numerous requests and not received replies. The person whose thread I commented on looked into my problem and they think weebly needs to update/edit my site.

I have spent days on this getting no help from weebly, being bounces back and forth with stripe and the problem is still not resolved. Surely it should not be so difficult to change the currency.

Please help me! I have signed up for a pro account and was under the impression I would get phone support. I cannot find out how to actually speak to someone. And no one is helping to resolve this.

What currency are you trying to update to @Gillian?

The website I have created will only show USD. I am in the UK and need to have it set as sterling. There is no option to edit the currency in the store, set up, general ..... I can update measurements but not currency.

How can I get live support with this? Can I speak to someone? It has been days now, that I've been trying to sort this. I really need support now.

It looks like you're connected to Stripe right now, @Gillian - if you disconnect from that you should be able to change your currency in Store > Setup > General. Once you've changed it you can then reconnect with Stripe.

Hi @Gillian I am the "person" you communicated with.

I set up an ecommerce site for a client (now ex, the ingrate). I still have the account so I checked it on your behalf.

The settings and connections are still there (Paypal) in this case. The message under the currency is to edit change with "PayPal". So this system does require the setting to be changed with your payment provider.

Also - a little weird idea. Log into a Weebly version other than the UK. I have an issue which occurs in UK version, where I lose a whole client list, but re-appears when in a non-UK version. May pull up your conversion label, so you can a t least see it.

(btw. Is possible, Stripe and Weebly defaults to US provider, just in case there are further problems having Stripe change it.)

The problem has been resolved. It was an issue with Weebly. It was not a problem with Stripe. Weebly needed to edit and update the site somehow. When they did this, the currency drop down tab finally appeared in the store set up, and I am now able to edit it. It's taken days to sort out, being bounced back and forth between Weebly and Stripe. Thankfully I finally found someone on Weebly's Live Chat who was able to solve the problem.
