Real time shipping rates once again not working at all
Venting once again and seriously looking at other web site options. Weebly is getting worse. Sorry!
I am actually glad that I mostly offer free shipping and don't rely on the calculated checkouts. I have 13 Western States that I charge a modest fee. However none of my settings are working.
So, on several orders the clients of course used my relatively cheap fallback rate. Very frustrating.
Temporary set a fallback rate of $100 but I just scare potential customers.
Going back now and create a weight based fee for these states. Still, how many times will this get screwed up.
I am so thankful for Etsy and Amazon. At least they know what they are doing.

Hi @wooffi Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your shipping setup!
Can you let us know one of the order numbers? This may be something that needs to be escalated, but we can take a look and confirm for sure.

Hi Bernadette,
I actually found a great work around on this issue. Since I offer free shipping for all but the 13 long distance states, I created a flat weight based setup for these states that is not too high and won't scare my clents away.
I am able to charge very little shipping cost for light shipments and also can cap the shipping cost on very large orders, where my profits will cover some shipping expenses as volume bonus.
So. I delteted all carrier calucaltions.
Shoud this change I will make sure I disconnect and reconnect with UPS and Fedex.
Thanks
Wolfgang
