Linking JotForm data to Square

Morning all,

I run a small boutique dogminding business and have all my customers details in JotForm where my booking form resides.

I wonder if the client details can be imported automatically (hooked up) so that they appear in Square for payment.

I know I can export a CVS file from JotForm and upload it for past clients, what I am seeking is an automatic synching.

I believe I can use Zapier and an i between but before I go down that route I thought to check if there is an direct route.

Hi @Resi 🙂 It's not possible to automatically sync contact data from JotForm into Square, unfortunately.

I'll provide some additional information for what you can do with Square and JotForm, although it sounds like you may already have most of this information. 

JotForm is available in the Square App Marketplace here. You can find more details about linking Square to JotForm for taking payments on this page. Payments processed with JotForm will automatically sync with your Square account, and you’ll be able to locate your payment history in the Transactions section of your online Square Dashboard.

Importing data into Square takes a few more steps. You'll need to download the .csv file from JotForm, then edit the file by deleting the columns that cannot be imported into the Square Customer Directory.

Note: 💡You can download a sample template for Square from this page. 

You'll need to make sure the formats are also compatible, and you can find the field types supported here.

Unfortunately I cant use the app in Marketplace as items sold will show as uncategorised in Square which is no good for me.

I need them to show as a 'sleepover' or as a 'doggy day care'. so that I can also track how many I sell and stocktake (only 4 sleepovers a day for example.) Please do let me know if there is a way for sold items not to show asuncategorised as it would be great to use it.

I have embedded the payment link into the form and currently testing how it works. 

I will import past clients using the template and I am currently looking to use Zapier to synch future contacts.
