My old free domain hundhelhet.weebly.com redirects to my new domain hundhelhet.com. But when I try to get the new domain indexed on Google I get an error due ti hundhelhet.weebly.com being canonical according to Google, due to the redirect. Can I remove the redirect alltogether? I didnät have any important traffic to the fee domain anywaty.

Hi @Hundhelhet 👋 Thanks for posting!
How long did you have the previous subdomain address tied to the website? You should still be able to properly index the new domain name. It's not uncommon at all to forward an older domain to a newer domain in order to have the best chances in keeping previous SEO stats. Can you please post a screenshot of the error you see? Maybe some of our SEO experts can chime in here.

Google search console gives these errors (trasnlated from swedish): Page with redirect, Duplicate without use chosing a canonical page.
I hade the previous subdomain for perhaps a month maximum.
