Hi @AmandaA1 - thanks for your post.
Just to clarify, are you looking to have the new items appear at the top when you are editing items/categories on the backend or on the published site?

Hi
My site is fully live for over 9 years but as some categories have 60 to 70 items, every new item that is added ends up at the bottom. So anyone who visit regularly only see the new items once scrolled through the older remaining items. Want to have new items at top of the category pages thanks Amanda

Thanks @AmandaA1
Item categories can only be edited by dragging them at this time.
On the published site you should have the following options to filter your items:
Popularity: Automatically sort items based on the number of purchases.
Newest: Automatically sort items from newest to oldest. Use this option if you want newly added items to always appear at the top of the Shop All and other category pages.
Price: Automatically sort items by price. Choose from high to low or low to high.
Alphabetical: Automatically sort items alphabetically. Choose from A to Z or Z to A.
Custom: Select this option to manually sort items in any way you like. Drag items up or down in the list to change the position.
