Temperature warning - printer

Hi, my terminal displayed the following message: Temperature warning- printer needs to cool down before use, part way through printing a receipt. It had been turned on only 1 hour before so was not overheated. It's only been used approx 20 times in total over the last 18 months. Up to date software. Factory reset done etc. Its out of warranty now. Has anyone else had the same issue and any resolutions? Thank you!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your hardware. Please get in touch with our customer support team as soon as you can on 0800 098 8008 9 am-5 pm, they will be able to provide you with a solution here. Unfortunately, I can't assist too much as this is a public forum and I don't have access to your account details, sorry about that! 

 

In the meantime, please do not continue to use your hardware. If you do not have another device to process credit cards, you can send a Square Invoice or use Virtual Terminal to process your customer’s payments right from your computer. You can also pick up a card reader at a local retail location.
