My website is not loading

Hi there,

I've had an e-commerce website with Square for some time now and this morning I noticed that it does not load all of a sudden! It was working fine yesterday but today I cannot see it.

This is my url https://www.urbanself.co.uk

It says failed to load the page! This is exceptionally bad timing with Mother's Day just around the corner and me selling physical products!

I have already checked all my DNS setting and everything seems okay and my dashboard says that the website is published!

Help please!

Many thanks,

Oana

Hey Oana, thanks for sharing that! I actually passed this over to our ECOM specialist team and it looks like there's an extra A record there pointing to 148. From reviewing this, the team have asked if you can remove the 148 line so that the site can be pointed correctly. Let me know if that will help.

Hi @OanaS, sorry to hear you are running into this issue! I had a look at the URL https://www.urbanself.co.uk and it looks like one of the A record hasn't been pointed to the right IP address (you can also check this here). For the site to show up as secured, we'll need both the A records to be pointed to 199.34.228.164.

If you have updated your DNS records recently (within the last 24 to 48 hours), then it might be that the system is just working to propagate this correctly. This can take up to 48 hours to complete, during this time the site may not load or appears as secured.

Hi there,

that is the strange thing. I did not change the DNS Settings and this happened out of the blue.

I have double checked my DNS settings anf both A records are pointing to 199.34.228.164. I have attached screen grabs for you to see.(I’m viewing my 123 reg control panel on my phone hence the two screen grabs)

What else can I do to get it running again ASAP?

many thanks,

oana
