Cup Sizes / Variations not showing on iPad

 

Wondering if anyone has had issues with adding a drink with various sizes. The variation shows when logged into the item list on a computer or a phone within the Square Dashboartd. When we are working in the shop at the POS systems the various sizes for the item are not showing, and it only lists one of three choices that we have loaded as options. It is only affecting 6-7 new drinks that we added. All other drinks and items are working fine. 

 

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

There could be a couple reasons why this is happening! 

 

If you have multiple locations and the item isn't marked available at that location, it won't appear with all variations.

  • On the Square Dashboard:

    • Go to Items > Item Library > [Your Drink Item]

    • Scroll to the Locations section

    • Make sure all variations are enabled for your current store location

If inventory tracking is turned on and some variations are marked as "0 available", they may not show up at POS if you’ve set it to hide out-of-stock items.

  • Go to Items > Item Library > [Your Drink] > Variations

  • Check inventory quantities and stock settings

If set to “Hide out-of-stock items”, the POS won't show them.

 

If nothing else works:

  • Delete the affected item(s)

  • Recreate them from scratch using the exact same variations

Let me know if any of these work! If not, I'll escalate to our engineers to take a deeper look!

We figured it out. The toggle for checkout behavior "Skip Items detail screen" was turned on by accident. The result, the system was hiding all drink sizes and modifiers. Thanks for the information.
