My reader will not keep a charge longer than one hour. When you look up warranty it just takes you to how to reset the thing which none of the troubleshooting things works. it supposedly  has a one year warranty.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your device.  Was this the article you were looking at for warranty.  If you purchased the item via Square, then you should be able to follow those steps to do a warranty claim within your dashboard.
