Pickup orders not showing up on Square Terminal

We run a mobile coffee company.  I have updated our Square site to reflect our current menu and to allow customers to place orders online for pickup at the trailer.  My test orders are going through on the customer side however they are not showing up at all on our employee side.  We use the Square app on our phones (Android) and we have a Square Terminal.

Can someone please tell me how to make these orders show up on our end?  Mobile orders would make a huge difference for our business if we can make this work!

I'm glad to hear your menu is showing up correctly. Let me outline below some things to check to make sure orders are going through correctly. 

 

To make sure your online pickup orders show up on your Square app and Square Terminal, check the following:

 

Location Sync: Make sure the location assigned to your Square Online store matches the one linked to your Square app and Terminal. Go to your Square Dashboard > Online > Settings > Pickup & Delivery, and confirm the pickup location is the same one your POS devices are connected to.

 

Order Settings on POS:

  • In the Square Point of Sale app on Android, open the app, tap the three lines (☰) > Orders. If you don’t see any, tap the filter icon and ensure you’re viewing All Orders and that the correct location is selected.

 

  • On the Square Terminal, swipe from the left or tap ☰, then go to Orders and check that the terminal is assigned to the correct location.Order Notifications: Ensure the Orders tile is added to your POS home screen. You can do this from Settings > Checkout > Customize Layout. This helps employees see orders as they come in.

Fulfillment Method: Confirm your test orders are actually set to pickup, and that a pickup time is selected. Otherwise, they may not route to your POS.

 

Once everything is aligned, your orders should start showing up in real time. If you're still not seeing them, try logging out and back in on your Square app or Terminal to refresh the sync.
