Newest update in team app is not allowing staff to see their schedule for multiple locations


The newest update in the team app is not allowing our staff to see their schedule for multiple locations at the same time. 

There used to be the option to see your schedule, view the schedule with all team members (so you could see who you're working with) and you had the option of viewing different locations separately or at the same time.

With the new update my employees are having to look at both locations separately to see where they work and I am worried this may cause some confusion. It also no longer says the location next to their scheduled shift in the app where as before it did.

@Lovewell I just checked the team app and my app updated last night and I have the same problem! We have multiple locations and we share team members. 

 

I would recommend you post it in the Square team forum. I will be doing the same.

Hi @Lovewell - thanks for flagging.  We are working on a fix for this so that your team members can continue to view multiple locations.  I will follow up on this for you.

I am logged into the square team app as administrator like I always am and I cannot even figure out how to view any location except the first location alphabetically. My team app is showing a schedule for just one location and no matter what I click I cannot view the other locations to see who's working there. Is there a way to view this on the Square team app right now or do we have to wait for the fix? I'm usually on the go between locations, therefore booting up my computer to get into the dashboard is difficult, yet I often need to see who's working so that I can message the manager on duty for instance.

Oh shoot, I just saw how to do it.

It is down in the bottom right corner now!  Just a few days ago and before that it was always in the top right as a menu type filter.  It would definitely be helpful when you guys roll out new updates if we could be notified of the changes so that we're not scrambling to try to figure things out. 

 

@Lovewell you can switch the locations in the bottom right corner now. And you can choose multiple locations or just one at a time.  This screenshot with the button circled should help.

hey @JasonSQPM  Any info you can give people from This Post ? I know updates are coming but not sure if there is anything in regards to adding the ability to sync schedules to calendars?

Hi everyone - we have made an update so that you can view multiple locations via the filtering experience from the previous version of the app.

Multi-location support will be supported in the updated UI in the next release, coming your way in July.

@JasonSQPM Thank you do much for updating us. I really loved the new look and layout of the version but not being able to have our team view their schedule for both locations was causing some confusion so i am super thankful for the previous version and will be patient for the new and improved version!

My team is standing here having a whole conversation about all the things that they aren't happy about the new Square team app.  I just happened to walk in on it as they were all talking, so I wanted to share it with you and hopefully we can get some of these things worked out. 

For instance they said when they use to check their schedule their individual schedule showed up as the first one of the top and now it doesn't anymore so they have to scroll around and find their schedule.

 

They also said that they used to be able to see everyone's role so that they knew who the manager and lead was on duty but now they don't see that anymore.

Hi @BofBArtStudio - thanks for the feedback!  We have some updates coming in the next release that will help with viewing their own schedules more easily.

 

Regarding seeing everyone's role, that should still be available.  Can you provide a bit more info on what they are seeing?
