Why does a cash sale appear in the total of transactions but is not included in money deposited?

Cash is listed in the total transactions because Square tracks all methods of tender you receive to assist you with bookkeeping and inventory management. However, deposits are funds due you that were processed through Square. A "Cash Sale" was processed by you directly. You received the funds. If Square included it in money deposited that would mean you were paid twice for a sale.

The answer @HeyItsMuff gave is absolutely right, @dglg! Your deposit will include card payments processed through Square. We help you track the other tender for your records and bookkeeping purposes.
