Why can I no longer see the dining options prompt screen when taking an order on Quick Service mode?

Hi everyone,

I use a Square register for my quick service restaurant, and it’s generally been working great—until today. Normally, when we add an item to an order, the register prompts us to select a dining option (e.g. "For Here," "To Go"). However, today that prompt isn’t appearing. Instead, it skips straight to the check, and everything is automatically marked as "For Here" on the kitchen printer.

I’ve checked the dining options in the dashboard, and they are still enabled. We also restarted the register, but that didn’t help. Support suggested doing a factory reset, but we don’t have time for that during service hours.

Has anyone experienced this before or know a workaround?

This sounds like a hiccup in the interface. I recommend doing that factory reset as recommended by our Support Team. Do let me know if your problem persists so I can take a closer look into your experience for you.
