Square reader with Square Register

We have used 2 Square Registers since they first came out and are very happy with them. We keep the remote display away from the customers as we are very fast paced, and keep the remote display away from the customers as it is faster for us to take their card rather than have the fumble trying to tap or dip. As more people are using phones & watches  to pay we have to move the display for them to use it. (We are a walk up so keeping the display on the counter would expose it to the elements.) Is it possible to connect a Bosstab dock with reader to the register for phone/watch use?

 When looking into if the Bosstab does connect to a Register, one Square Screen shows it available then another one does not show it works with Register.  When I look at Register and scroll to the bottom, there is a link to compatible devices which does show the Bosstab, but then on the newly opened page when you filter by Register, it disappears.  I believe most businesses using the Register would not be trying to connect a NFC Tap reader like you are, since one is sold with the Register.  I will tag a few moderators to see if they can get a clearer answer.  Since I use a Square Stand, I was wondering if the Register does have bluetooth capabilities to connect to the Square Tap reader.  This would eliminate the Bosstab connection and stand for the Reader.  I prefer the Bosstab appearence over the reader just sitting on the counter.  Another question, do you know of any businesses locally that you are friends with that use the little white square reader?  Maybe you could ask them to stop by with it after they close to test it before buying. 

Tagging @MayaP , @_Violet , and @Summer2024 - was wondering if any of you knew if the contactless-chip-reader  or bosstab-dock work with a Register since the compatibility does not specify this combination with a Register.

@ChrisB, The Square Register and the Bosstab dock with reader aren't buddies right now. No worries, though! You can snag a Contactless + Chip Reader from our Square shop and start accepting payments directly from your phone or iPad if you want for those customers using digital wallets on their phones and watches.

Thank you very much for your help. I had asked the Bot and it had no idea. It was past the hours to call support so I asked here. The next morning before you answered , I contacted a human through chat, he had no idea and had me call. I called and was told it would work fine.  Headed to Walmart, picked one up. Then saw your message (I did try it to no avail.)  Hopefully they will add to the description that it is not compatible with the Square Register. Once again, thanks for your help.
