USB Printer problems

Equipment:

Square kiosk

KioskBuddy software

Star MCP30 printer

Star TSP143 printer

 

KioskBuddy set up to send text receipt and also push receipt through Square to be printed.  Text works and receipt gets pushed to Square...but Square pops an error code asking me to check the USB connection to my printer.  I've tried different cords and two separate printers.  It will reprint the receipt just fine, but it won't do it automatically due to the error code.  

 

So, it's clearly connected via the USB (because it will reprint) but it won't auto-print due to the USB connection.  How do I fix this?

Hey there, @JohnnyGolf 👋 I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble printing receipts through Square for your Kiosk orders.

To make sure I understand correctly, you'd like each order placed through the Kiosk to send a texted receipt to the customer, as well as a printed copy of the receipt for yourself or the customer. Is that correct? Have you done this successfully before or are you trying to get this set up for the first time?

Could you possibly send over a video of this behavior so I can have a clear view of what you're seeing on your end? I can also pass this along to our teams to further investigate.
