There was a previous thread about being able to have the notification much louder when an online order comes in. It was back in 2020 and has not been solved. The order button simply turns orange but the sound is like a feeble mouse. I need this thing to scream like a fire engine so I don't need to babysit it.
Some people may not need this, but I am certainly looking for the most obnoxious utterly grotesque sounding ping that exists! Gorilla running at you? Sounds great! About to be run over in New Jersey on the side walk? Please! You get the idea Square, I'm busy and coddling the online orders is the last thing on my mind. Thank you.

I understand that each business has different needs, and a customizable tone would be beneficial for plenty of sellers using Square Online orders.
We don't have any updates at this time but as soon as there are any we will let you know here and on the original thread.

Ive been using this Square POS App for years now and I would like to have a different ring tone thats a bit more aggressive/longer sounding than just a BLIP. Most times you dont even hear the ring/notification note.
Or have us be able to customize the ring tone in itself. Kinda silly really when all other POS / third party delivery tablets have a unique longer ring tone when an order comes through to make sure the operator hears the order come in.

All,
We are setting up Square Online for first time. Our Square is Square for Retail, but we do some food. Historically we have taken orders over the phone or in person.
We are interested in having something beep non-stop until acknowledged for online orders.
The short pop-up on screen for online orders is not good enough.
Currently looking for non-stop notification by FreshKDS for orders ("Repeat Until Order Acknowledged"), but it's not yet working (working with their support team).
Looking for your suggestions.

I went ahead and merged your post to an existing thread where other Square Sellers have discussed this topic as well. We merge duplicate conversations together to keep like comments in one place, and to make it easier for others to find the thread in the future.
Currently, the only notification sound setting for the KDS is turning ON/OFF "Play sound when new tickets arrive". I'm tagging in some of our Square Champions who use Square Restaurants to see if they have any alternative suggestions, beyond our current settings, to increase visibility on new orders: @SSB_YVR @sashakanno @Sam_400º
