Did anyone get same problem? l used my sq reader with customer credit card and l ve got my payment everything was fine and gone thru even l checked after a while and l was able to make the instant deposit. next morning when l check my phone l saw quick message but before l was able to read it has gone but only l was able to see that transaction cancelled than l contact w sq but they could not/did not help me and said TA was void. that s weird nobody knows who did it how did it. l m suspicious about a scam either comes from internal or from outside or sq system has weaknesses. Please everybody be careful. YA

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing with your payment. It sounds frustrating, especially since the transaction appeared successful at first. When a payment is voided, it could be due to several reasons:
1) Payments can be manually voided from the tip or signature screen by tapping the “x” in the top-left corner.
2) Also, payments are automatically voided if they aren’t finished within 5 minutes or the app is interrupted.

How did the transaction take place? Was it a Tap by a cell phone? I heard of a report that people using Tap to pay on cell phones were having the issue but the Transaction never appeared in Square. The Square Screen would change from Charge to other or Cash payment and not actually approve the Tap pay. This was shown on the news in California with Square but I have heard from other businesses having this issue with other payment providers too. The scammers are using their smart phones to hack the Tap payment features on their phones. So this sounds like something similar to what you have stated. So it sounds like you got scammed by this new wave of scammers and theives.
