The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: Confirm and Pay
As of today the square terminal we use now has a "confirm and Pay" screen before the customer can tap their card. There use to be a toggle in the payments area that was call 'Skip Itemised Basket Screen'
This allowed the system to skip this screen. That toggle no longer exists in settings and the screen is significantly slowing down the checkout process and visibly annoying customers. Where did the option to skip go?

Hello @jordanmck !
Quick question: are you using the terminal as a standalone device or is it set in a Connected Mode, where it is linked to a different system and acts more like an old school swiper machine? The reason I ask is that there are a couple of places that this setting could have been switched. And if I'm reading your picture correctly, you do have that set as a connected terminal.
If it's standalone, the only spot to verify (which I know you did but bear with me) would be at More -> Settings -> Checkout -> Payment Types -> Skip Itemized Cart.
If it's connected, you'll need to verify the settings on the device it's connected to. On that device, More -> Settings -> Hardware -> Square Terminal. Verify that Skip Itemized Cart is enabled here.
If in both instances the itemized cart is still visible, I'm wondering if you need a software update. On the terminal, go to More -> Settings -> Hardware -> General -> About Square Terminal (or in connected mode swipe left to right, then Settings) and check for any update. Once the update is complete, in standalone mode I recommend signing out and back in. If you're in connected mode, have the primary device forget the terminal, sign out and back in on the primary device, and relink the terminal with a new device code. This way the terminal gets all its settings refreshed. That should take care of things.
Please let us know if you're still running into problems!

Yes this worked. The terminal is connected so I had to go to settings > Hardware > Square terminal > then the toggle switch was inside this menu.
Thank you for the help!!
