I am having difficulty getting my card reader to connect via bluetooth with my phone. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to connect. Is there an easier way? Can I just connect the card reader directly to my phone so I don't have to wait for the bluetooth connection?

We have Reader Troubleshooting Steps available in our support center, which are known to resolve some common connectivity issues with the Square Reader. At the moment, the only way to connect the Square Reader is by connecting it via Bluetooth.
Some quick fixes you could try:
- Update the Square Point of Sale app.
- Update the software on your device.
- Hard reset the reader. Hold the button on the Reader down until the lights start flashing red. They will flash orange first, but keep holding the button down until the lights flash red.
Let me know how you get on with the above. I'd be happy to take another look into the issue if it persists.
