Hello! Has anyone else noticed a glitch in Square when applying Discounts?

Hello, has anyone else noticed a glitch in Square transactions when applying Discounts?

I am finding an error, whereby adding an even number of products with a Discounts, removes all taxes.  For example, if I sell one, three, five, or seven products with a Discount, it applies the correct tax.  However, if I sell two, four, six, or eight products with a Discount, it removes the tax, and tax is not charged at all.

Can anyone else replicate this glitch for me?

It is a huge problem for us, as the government will not be getting the tax on the sales!

Wow @ThunderVR thanks for your post. I have not heard of anything like this happening; it's highly unusual! I have no idea why the quantity change would doing this to your tax. I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you. Just a question for clarification...when you apply the discount, are you applying the discount to each individual item in your receipt/order...or are you apply the discount to the entire sale?

Hi Charlie.

The $5 Discount applies to each item that happens before 2:30 on a weekday.  Square has contacted me about it and has verified that it is happening, but they do not yet have a good solution.
