Privacy Policy for Store and Square

Hi folks! I'm want to add a pop-up to my online store for people to opt-in to my email list/marketing newsletter, as well as add a way for customers to opt-in at check-out.

But first I feel the need to add a Privacy Policy page (per the recommendation of another artist business friend who has been doing this a heck of a lot longer than me).

In addition to a policy pertaining to my newsletter and a buyer's interaction with my store, it seems appropriate to direct people to Square's privacy policy as well since they process the transactions and collect buyer information. The free Square online store template has the Square logo/wordmark at the bottom but that leads to the Square homepage.

It seems like these two links would be appropriate to direct buyers to. Would you agree? Or maybe this is a question to send directly to Square Support.

Thanks much!

@CM-Art I personally am not a lawyer and would never give legal advice.  But I think the first link is the one you say something like, "and you agree by accepting these TOS that you also accept <insert link here> for Square/Block, Inc.

The you can also do "For Additional Information please visit the following:  <>"  and then you can add anything pertinent.

I wouldn't spend a ton of time on this, but think your friend gave you good advice.  But if you want real advice, ask your friend if he had an attorney who does this or look up one and ask their opinion or for them to review what you put together.  That can be the best $500 you ever spend.
