I recently received an email stating that Square now supports custom fields at checkout to collect information, which is something I need to add personalization for jewelry products but I cannot figure out how to add these fields. Below is the content of the email along with a set of instructions. I followed the link in the email to my dashboard-online checkout-checkout links but when I click on a link to edit or create a new link I do not see any options for custom fields or any "advanced settings." What am I missing? Can someone explain how to add these in more detail?
Email content:
"You can now add custom form fields to your checkout page to collect important details from customers like an account number or specific preferences. This allows you to manage orders and client accounts or memberships the way that works best for your business."

It's on the creation page when you go to make a new checkout link! Hope this helps.

Was this ever fixed for recurring subscriptions please? It's a pretty basic feature really. If not is there a workaround and how can i do it, there are no instructions at all anywhere

Thanks for stopping into Seller Community! Also great question, happy to clarify.
In order to add custom fields to recurring payments please see the steps outlined below:
- In your online Square Dashboard, go to Online Checkout.
- Select Create a link and choose Collect a payment or Accept a donation, whichever is best suited for your needs.
- Under Advanced settings, select ”+” to add up to 2 custom form fields.
- Add a title to your field so customers know what to enter.
- Create your link, and share it anywhere via link, buy button, or QR code.
If you have followed these steps and are still continuing to have issues I would reach out to support at 855-700-6000, or contact support. They can take deeper dive into your account, more than us and figure out what is going on.
