[The title of this post has been edited from it's original: connect square POS to existing weebly site]
I created a Weebly website. I would like to connect my Square POS to offer in-store sales and for my orders to be consolidated regardless where they originate, but I can only do this when I use the Square Online store builder.
Is there a way to port my website built using the classic editor over to Square online store?

Hey @Brushstrokes745 🖌 🎨 and the rest of the Community! ✨
At this time, it wouldn't be possible to convert a site built with the Weebly drag-and-drop editor to Square Online, but you can create a new Square Online account and rebuild your site.
When you're ready we can help you move any paid services over to the new account. First, make sure that the email address you use with your Weebly account is different than the one you use with your Square account. Next, use the Online link in your Square Dashboard to create your Square Online account. If you have questions after creating your account on how to build your new site, see the Square Online section of our support site 👩🏼💻

Not exactly... we have two “weebly” sites. One is our original website, which was designed on weebly.com, and the other is the square online weebly site that is hosted inside our square platform. If you wanted to leave Bluehost for weebly, then to replace your Bluehost Site I think you would want to use weebly.com, not the square online version of weebly. Note that when you navigate to the weebly.com page you may need to log out because your browser may keep you logged into square/weebly, even if you haven’t used it before. Then you would need to use an email address different from the one you use in square to create a new weebly.com site. Then, if you do decide to use square online, you would connect that marketplace through a link on your new weebly.com site.

Hi @ASP425! Let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly...
Are you wanting the ability to process a sale through your POS while also seeing that sale reflected in your Online Store in real time?

Hi Nika,
Yes, sort of.
I created my website for online business on Weebly classic editor, and it works like a charm. Online orders are sent to the Weebly order management system, and I can process those in my kitchen.
I also want my Square POS, which I use in-store, to send orders to the same order management system. Unfortunately, Square integrates with Square Online.
Square online requires me to rebuild my site, but it doesn't have a robust editor, so I won't be able to do that.

hi nika,
I am having the same problem as @ASP425. I use Square POS in store. I also have a separate Weebly website with an online store. They are somehow connected because I see the weebly orders show up in my Square POS transactions. I am wondering if my Square online store that I do not use can be switched to the weebly online store. Hope this makes sense

I am a web designer and I am building a new weebly site for a customer, who already has a square/weebly site. Is there a way for us to transfer just the store portion to her new site once I am finished?

Hey @rainfalldesign 🌧 ☔️
Just to be clear, the customer has an existing Weebly site, but would like to link it to their Square account by using Square Online? If so, please take a look here for some insight into your question.

From someone who has really been through this...
We used both Weebly and Square before the companies merged, and our orders from Weebly (before they merged) fed directly into our square POS through the Weebly app in square. When we added the online capabilities of square, their team did a great job of guiding us through the process. You will need to make sure you are using a different email address for your (original) weebly account and your square account. Don't worry - changing the email address on either side didn't mess with any current settings. If you are going to use on demand delivery with your new square/weebly site, also make sure the address you have for square is different from the address you use for any doordash logins you might have, or you will again run into the same problem when you try to activate on demand delivery.
The online store for square is essentially a totally new weebly account that operates inside your square account, and importing between separate (old) weebly accounts and new, square POS hosted weebly accounts does not currently seem possible. However, it is WORTH IT to create the new square/weebly account and you can operate both, side-by-side, as we do. Your product sales reports become seamless, refunds are a breeze, and you will find you almost never need to log into your old weebly account. Be aware, square will import items to your NEW square/weebly account from your square POS library, so if you don't have items in square that you are selling on your existing (old) weebly account, this can become a lot of work to rebuild. But again, worth it.
We simply created a link on our original (old) weebly website that we wanted to keep, because we love the original look of our website. We even have items that could be purchased on our original weebly site that we still have active on our old weebly store, and those still sync into square POS, separately from those that come from our new square/weebly site.
The link we created on our old weebly site (still our business website) takes people to our square online store (the new weebly "site" hosted inside square POS) and so only our shopping pages look different, and the rest of our original site is maintained through our other (old) weebly login. Check out our website and see it in action: www.the-marshal.com
This is what it looks like when you use an original weebly website site with a link ( ours is "order for pickup or delivery") to a square/weebly site. Hope this helps!

Thanks to @TheMarshal for the detailed answer to merging a Weebly/Square site really well. I too am a merchant who has had two Square accounts for POS for a very long time (2010?) and now I'm using Square for processing via my Weebly websites hosted on Bluehost. My issue is that as an artist/craftsperson I am wanting to upgrade the aesthetic of my website and the themes on Bluehost are broken or not mobile responsive. I want to switch my websites over to Weebly.com in order to upgrade with a custom theme, and I'm willing to rebuild the sites....but it seems like I am no longer able to do that if I also want them to be Ecommerce sites? Is this true? At this point in time, if I want to move my hosting over to Weebly....it has to be on Square Online? And Square Online has very limited tools for site-building. Is this correct?

omg...thanks so much. I am trying right now to get back to Weebly.com and going crazy. I had just come to the same conclusion you told me...I must log out and begin with a new e-mail in Weebly and I guess..not click anything to do with eCommerce or it will send me to Square Online. Hope I can make it through this tangled web!!! Thank you so much for your clarity.

Hello TheMarshal,
Can you help a non-tech savvy person to access the Weebly site? Since the merger, I have had difficulty accessing my Weebly website, as I end up logging into Square. How did you get back to the Weebly site to edit the website? I appreciate any help you can provide.

I was with Weebly before they joined with Square, and my website uses the Weebly editor. However, there seem to be features with Square that don't work unless one's site is built with the Square site editor. Is there a way to move from the Weebly editor to Square's?

HI, since Square obtained Weebly 2018 and currently attempting to combine the two, there are several features/options that are no longer available. To "move" to Square editor would mean to move the entire website. There is no current ability to move as "one" so would need to recreate the website from scratch.

I was afraid that would be the case. Thank you for the response, Goldneye!
