How can I have customers receive 10% when signing up for email marketing but not be in a pop-up form

It would be a great feature to have people sign up for email marketing and get a 10% off coupon when they want because I and many others do not like pop-ups unless it is an announcement and especially for our loyal return customers i don't want it to be annoying for them. This was it is more discrete and I can make a pop-up when I am trying to drive in more customers.
