Delivery Toggle is On but Not Enabled – Unable to Edit or Add Delivery Charges

Hi Square Team,

I’m experiencing an issue in my Square Online store settings. Under Settings -> Account & Settings -> Fulfillment methods -> Online Pickup & Delivery, the Delivery toggle is ON, but it’s not enabled — meaning I can’t turn it off, nor can I make any edits to the delivery settings. It appears greyed out or stuck.

Because of this, I’m currently unable to edit the delivery region or add delivery charges.

I’d like to know:

  1. Why is the delivery toggle locked in this state? Is it because I initially set the delivery area using postal/ZIP codes instead of a radius?

  2. If the toggle is stuck, how can I regain access to edit delivery settings?

  3. How can I add delivery charges when local delivery is selected?

If the Delivery toggle is ON but greyed out, it usually means that another setting is controlling fulfillment and preventing direct edits. A few things to check:

 

  1. Location setup – Go to your Square Dashboard → Account & Settings → Business Locations and make sure your location has a valid address and “In-person” selling enabled. Delivery requires a properly set up location.

  2. Fulfillment profiles – Instead of editing under Account & Settings, try going to Online → Settings → Pickup & Delivery in your Square Online Dashboard. You should be able to update or disable delivery options there.

  3. Permissions – Confirm you’re logged in as the account owner or with full permissions. Limited staff accounts may see toggles but not be able to change them.

If you’ve checked the above and the toggle is still stuck, please confirm which location is affected. We’ll escalate this to our Square Online engineering team to review and help get your fulfillment settings updated.
