Where can I find the link to an individual item's page on my Square Online site?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Where to find the link to my item in online from new item library.

Hi,

 

I use square online as a payment system for my youth group, and I like to use the online payment because I can use text modifiers.  But with the item library becoming merged, I am struggling to find the link that goes to the online item rather than the regular payment link. Anyone can help?

I donโ€™t link the regular payment link because it does not allow text modifiers.

we donโ€™t use a website, so I just need to find the web links for my created events.

 

(I have found them in the old product library but it says that page is going away soon)

First, I just want to confirm that you do have a published Square Online site where your items are currently listed. This setup has allowed you to collect additional information through text modifiers, such as participant names, directly on your site.

However, your site currently only has a home page with a Featured Events section visible, which is why youโ€™re not able to retrieve the item page URL.


Finding Your Square Online Item Page URL

To find the link for your item on your Square Online site, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your online Square Dashboard and navigate to Sales channels > Online > Overview.
  2. At the top of the Overview page, you'll see โ€œWelcome back, [Name]!โ€ with a link to your published website below it. Click on this link to go to your siteโ€™s home page.
  3. Use the Search button (the magnifying glass icon) in the top right corner of your siteโ€™s home page to search for the name of your item.
  4. Click on the item to be taken to its individual item page. Copy and paste the URL from this page.


If you don't have access to the online section of the Dashboard, the Account Owner may need to adjust your team permissions to include Square Online. They can do this by going to Staff > Team > Permissions > Team Permissions > Online in their Square Dashboard.

If you would like to add an item section to your websiteโ€™s home page, add additional pages, or unpublish your Square Online site all together, follow the instructions in these Support Centre articles:

Using Payment Links with Custom Fields

You also have a Payment Link created for this item. Payment Links function independently from Square Online site items and, unfortunately, cannot have text modifiers applied.

If you would prefer to use Payment Links and need to collect additional information, such as a participant's name, you can add Custom Fields to gather this information from your customers instead:

  1. Sign in to your online Square Dashboard and navigate to Payments > Payment links.
  2. Click on a Payment Link. A panel will appear on the right side of the screen.
  3. In the Details section, click Edit.
  4. Scroll down to the Advanced Settings section.
  5. Toggle on Enable custom fields and add titles for these fields, such as โ€˜Participantโ€™s Nameโ€™.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Copy link to share it anywhere.
