Products in Square catalogue not transferring to meta sites

As of about 2 weeks ago, new items on Square are not uploading to my Meta catalogue, so no tagging from Insta posts etc. Square said it was a meta issue. 

 

I've contacted Meta, who were super helpful, and said that Square no longer supports Meta shop integration, there is a workaround in that the catalogue can still be linked. They did all this for me, but the new items from the past 2 weeks, still do not transfer from square into the meta catalogue.

 

Meta are now saying all is good from their end and it's a Square connection issue with these items. 

 

Square customer service via email is the pace of a snail, and I am at a loss how to tackle this - anyone got any advice?? Becky

I believe this is related to a recent change from Meta.

 

'Since Apr 24, 2024, Meta will only support shops that have a checkout on Facebook and Instagram. To make your shop available to customers and sell your products, update your checkout to Facebook and Instagram now.With an updated checkout, customers can purchase your products seamlessly on Facebook and Instagram. You'll also be able to run ads that send people to your website and shop, based on where we think they're most likely to purchase and keep product tagging on posts on Instagram.'

 

Our team have confirmed that Inventory between Square and Meta should still sync after a purchase is made via shoppable ads.

 

Orders and fulfilment for orders via the shoppable ads will also continue to be managed via Square.

 

However, there have been some issues on Meta's end that our engineering as actively waiting for them to resolve. From what we've been told, there are certain restrictions Meta introduced on their platform that have impacted integrations with third-party platforms, like Square.

 

We're in the same boat as many other platforms, waiting for the next update from Meta.

 

Our Partnerships Team have assured us that Meta is aware of this issue and working quickly towards a solution. If you are experiencing something beyond what is being reported here, please let me know!

But my issue is that products added to my catalogue in the last 2 weeks are not uploading to meta. Meta insist it is a square issue. I am at a loss what to do next as square help are not replying to my emails…

Is there a specific error you are seeing on your Square account @Fiftyfivenorth

 

I understand that Meta is insisting this is not on their end however we would need to see their investigation in a support ticket which confirms this. 

 

The timeline indicates it's related to the issues we're experiencing after their most recent update. However, I can try to escalate this to our advanced support team to see if they have any additional insight. 

 

Can you let me know if there is anything specific you are seeing when trying the import and also the name of a couple of items you've experienced this with?
