Receipt emails going to customers from the wrong company.

I had a customer reach out to me this morning because she paid an invoice from me but the email she received in receipt from Square looked like it was coming from a dance studio (my business is quilting).  When she opened the email it was from Square and my business account but "the from" in her email list was not.  On my end I show that she paid the invoice.  She is now concerned that her credit card has been compromised which I completely understand.  Has anyone else had this issue?

Hello, @LOFA  👋 Welcome to the Seller Community!

Since your question involves account/transaction-specific context I will go ahead and recommend to, please reach out directly by logging into your Square account and heading here

Our direct support team will be able to look closer at how the receipt for this particular transaction happened and confirm with you any particular findings. I would also recommend asking your customer to forward you the receipt they got so you can share it with the team as well as it will help with this investigation.

Actually we figured it out.  Her email was set to “conversation” so every Square receipt was in one long email string and therefore the “from” line showed multiple entities.  Glad I figured this out via someone who was a friend as well as a customer.  She was initially pretty freaked out and therefore so was I.
