Not able to get funds after invoice payment

So I'm new to square and I was allowed to submit an invoice and collect a credit card payment from a client for a little over $1,000 without any error no no questions asked it went right through of course I couldn't access it yet. The next day I'm told that my funds are suspended due to fraudulent and suspicious behavior. I get a hold of customer support for them to tell me that my account is going through a random verification process and my funds will not be available till it's completed or they reach the decision in February. I complete the process on my end and give them everything that they require to be told that everything's good and my account would be validated today and my funds would be available however I keep getting notifications for needing more information again I call customer support they say they have everything they need. I look on to the online version of square and it tells me that my account is suspended the app tells me everything is good but I have no pending transactions and no sales I'm really starting to stress out and if I had hair I'd pull it I don't know what to do I can't get like a straight up like answer of anything and the app keeps running me in circles and customer service seems to be of no real help they just cookie cutter answers somebody tell me is this a normal thing with this with this platform

@ElijahAQS Unfortunately you can really get any specific account info here, but you are probably in a spot where your account is new and you have a very large not in person transaction.  These are the highest risk of all transactions and square will scrutinize those types of new account transactions to ensure they are legitimate.

 

Yea it stinks, and yes the process to verify is not as easy as it should be.  I would recommend especially wit a new account to do an in person payment.  If square didn't do this, it would risk the reputation and security of the entire platform.

 

In reality, It is not normal to open a new account and take large not in person credit card payment as your first or only transaction.  This situation is unique.

 

Also, caveat emptor, This could absolutely have nothing to do with why your account is under review, but this is the best insight I can give you based on my experience in the community.
