Removing the class option from the drop down menu

Hello. By mistake I added an option for my clients to book a class online as well as the option for an appointment and this option is causing me problems, for one, my clients get confused and click on class instead of an appointment and of course, they do not see anything and the fact that there is an option for class when booking online that is preventing my link on Instagram not to work because the book button will not work if I have the classes option in there.  I talked to someone on Square on the phone, I was on hold for 32 minutes in total and they say they can not remove the class option after is done, Really??? Could someone please help me out with this? I find very odd something that I added by mistake Square is not able to remove. I am a paying customer by the way

I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with unwanted options on your booking page, especially when it causes confusion for your clients. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue with the class option:

  1. Hide the Class Option:

    • While Square Support may not be able to remove the class option directly, you might be able to hide it from your booking page.
    • Go to your Square Dashboard, navigate to “Appointments” > “Online Booking.”
    • Look for the settings related to the class option and see if you can hide or disable it from being displayed on your booking page.
  2. Edit Service Categories:

    • Another option is to edit the service categories and ensure that classes are not included.
    • Go to “Appointments” > “Services” in your Square Dashboard and review your service categories. Make sure that the class option is not listed under any category that is visible to clients.
  3. Create a New Booking Page:

    • If hiding or editing the class option is not possible, consider creating a new booking page without the class option.
    • Set up a new booking site under “Appointments” > “Online Booking” and ensure that only the desired services are included.
    • Update your Instagram link to direct clients to the new booking page.
  4. Contact Square Support Again:

    • While your previous experience with Square Support was not helpful, it might be worth reaching out again and explaining the issue in detail. Sometimes, different support agents may have different solutions.
    • Emphasize the confusion it causes for your clients and the impact on your business, and request a higher-level support representative if necessary.
  5. Submit Feedback:

    • If the issue persists and you’re unable to resolve it, submit feedback through your Square Dashboard.
    • Go to “Account & Settings” > “Help & Support” > “Submit Feedback” and detail your experience. This can help Square understand the importance of the issue and possibly offer a solution in the future.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue with the class option on your booking page.
