Keeping app open during lock screen
I run the square using my iPhone, I make transactions every few minutes, after a couple minutes of no use the iPhone goes to lock screen, when I unlock the phone the app is still running & has the connection with the square.
Now since my iPhone update 2 weeks ago the app closes on lock screen, so now I have to wait 10 seconds or so for it to load & establish a connection. Doesn’t sound like much but in the drive through coffee business, every second counts. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having issues connecting your reader.
This sounds like a strange one - I'd suggest essentially resetting everything here and seeing if this helps fix the issue.
1) Forget the reader from your iPhone's bluetooth settings
2) Uninstall and reinstall the Square POS app
3) Power cycle your iPhone (turn it off then on again)
4) On the card reader, hold down the button until the lights completely STOP flashing red. This performs a hard reset on the reader.
5) Finally, re-pair the card reader in the Square app via settings > card readers > connect a reader (read more on this here)
