remaining quantity
Hello,
We have recently started using Square. On the whole loving it. However, is there no way to limit how many items can be sold - so that we do not over sell. For example - if we cook off 24 sausage rolls - can I not input that number meaning that the staff on the till do not over sell? I can see where I can input the stock - if that is 0 it says sold out - but when I input 24 it still lets us process 25...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Cafe77, thanks for writing in (I also noticed this is your first post in the Seller Community, welcome!).
At the moment, you can enable stock tracking on your Square account. That way, when an item reached 0, it'll appear as Sold Out and greyed out to visually warn team members before they add the item to sale. However, even when items are greyed out, you can still manually override it and add it to ticket. There isn't a way to stop sold out item from being sell through the Point of Sale app at the moment, but I will definitely share your feedback with the appropriate team.

Amazing thank you.
yes it would really be great to have this as a feature. Having the option to see how many of an item is left and to not be able to process when sold out. We are a very busy museum cafe and the amount of times things get rung through the till that we have run out of, you wouldn’t believe.
thanks for your help!
