egift card fund transfer

Has the process for receiving funds from an egift card sale changed? I have made numerous sales of egift cards and the funds have not been transferred to me for the sale.

Can someone explain the process of receiving funds from an egift card sale please.

Many thanks

Hi @BeanShot,

Thanks for flagging this. When you sell eGift Cards through Square, the funds from the sale will be included in your next transfer, along with any other payments you have processed.

Since this is a public forum we're unable to check the specific transactions. It's also worth bearing in mind with the recent public holidays, transfers may have been delayed depending on your bank.

If you are still not seeing your balance reflected in your linked bank after 4pm on 3 January, please contact our Support team directly so they can take a further look into this for you.

I hope this helps.

Hi @BeanShot, I just want to jump in for Alegra here! With 3rd January being New Year's Day Observed, there can be delays in transfers due to banks being closed for the holidays so you may not see your funds on 3rd January, but rather the next business day (4th January).

Just to clarify and confirm, you'll receive a transfer when customers purchased their eGift Cards originally. You will not receive a transfer when customers redeem their eGift Cards at your business since you've already received this funds when the eGift Cards were purchased.

I hope this will help!
