The worst experience I have ever had
Hi,
A week ago my website went live. I decided to go with Square as I liked what I read about them. My first order from my online store was a lady telling me after entering her card details she hot proceed and an error came up with "Something doesn't look right. Please try again. She did and same thing happened.
I immediately got on the phone to Square and was told it was a GoDaddy issue. GoDaddy said no, it is a payment processing issue with Square and since then I have gone back and forth with both companies and tonight was the last straw. I decided to deactivate my account with Square. I didnt know how to do that so I used the "How to" on Square. It said to go to Accounts & Settings, and from Personal information tab scroll down to bottom of page and click on Deactivate. So I did that and there was NO DEACTIVATE at the bottom of the page. I am furious right now. Can someone help me please before I blow a fuse?
Thanks
Cassie

Hi there @Capcats, I'm very sorry to hear about this experience.
It's hard to know what happened here as we don't have access to your account however, as GoDaddy manages the integration with Square it is our process to request you contact them for an issue that is not directly associated with your Square account. It sounds like our team discerned there were no issues with your account and asked you to contact GoDaddy. If GoDaddy then sends you back to Square, the best thing is to ask for the ticket number of their investigation so we can understand why they believe the issue is on Square's end and from there we can continue investigating on our end.
I apologize again for the frustration that this caused. It also sounds like the article you found may have been outdated.
Here are the steps:
Account & Settings > Business Information > About my business > Deactivate your business.
If you would like to unpublish your site before deactivating here account, you can find that information here.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
