How can I use a bar code scanner and charge my Android device at the same time?

I have searched everywhere for an adapter that will allow me to keep my USB barcode scanner and micro usb charger plugged in at the same time. I already need an adapter that plugs the scanner into my tablet, but can't find one that plugs both. Can anyone help?

Could you use a charging pad to charge your Android tablet? So whenever you're not taking payments you could leave the Android tablet on the charging pad to power up. 

Perhaps another seller can reply here to let you know how they manage charging and using a bar code scanner with their device!

I have tried a number of hibs that claimed to allow USB-OTG (scanner) and charging in parallel, but not found one to work.  I just swap cables when the battery needs to be charged.  Not pretty, but it works.
