Adding the actual item to a digital product

Hi,

I've recently added a new product to my shop as a digital product. I did a test buy and what I noticed was that I don't get sent any digital item to my email. I can add an image of said digital product but I don't see an option to actually add a digital item to get sent to the buyer.

How do I sell a digital product if I can't actually add an item that can be downloaded by the buyer or automatically sent to the buyer when they buy the item?

While the digital item type lets you sell a digital file for download, like an e-book or song, you'll have to manually send it to your customer. You'll find more information about non-physical items on our Support Centre.

Square currently doesn't have a feature that automatically sends the file, but you can file a feature request here.

In the meantime, I recommend taking a look at our API SendOwl to send these emails automatically.
