hello
I've just started adding a few items to my store page however every time I select the "store pickup" option it keeps telling me to "select a pickup location to add to cart" even when it is already selected.
The only work around I have found is selecting "local delivery" putting in an address that is within my range and then it will allow me to select store pickup. I find this a bit inconvenient as some of my items I don't wish to have a local delivery option and I currently have the range set to 100km, I will be bringing that down for example 20km, but when i do no one outside of that range can put an address in the local delivery section thus not being able to select store pickup.
not sure if there is an easy fix or something I'm missing like creating an account or its just because i haven't published the page yet. although i don't really want to publish it until i know its working.

Hi @dankath,
Welcome to the community, and thanks for flagging this issue with your ordering flow - it doesn’t sound quite right.
Based on what you’ve said, there are a few things to consider.
If pick up is your preferred fulfillment method, you can set this as the default method pre-selected on your Square Online site’s checkout page by following the steps below:
- From your Square Online Overview page, go to Settings > Checkout or Shared Settings > Checkout.
- Select Edit advanced settings.
- Under ‘Default fulfillment method’, choose a fulfillment method to default to at checkout.
- Select Save when finished.
To set the default fulfillment method for newly-added items from your item preferences:
- From your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > Item Preferences or Shared Settings > Item Preferences.
- Under “Default item fulfillment,” select Edit.
- Select your preferred fulfillment methods.
- Select Save when finished.
If you’re still seeing the prompt to select pick up location despite it already being selected, would you mind sharing your site URL and a preview link to your site? If you could also share some screenshots, and confirm if you're using the Shop All or Order Online template, that would be useful for me in trying to replicate the issue.

Thanks for the link and additional information @dankath. I’ve reached out to our eCom team who have confirmed that there are some limitations in the preview - specifically the checkout flow. They have assured me that this behavior should not be replicated when you publish your site.
What I’d suggest is to temporarily publish your site to ensure the checkout flow is progressing as intended. You can then unpublish again, if you want to continue to refine and edit your site. Online > Website > Site Preferences > Unpublish.
If you do experience any issues on the live site, just let me know and we can take another look at it.

hello
thanks for the help, unfortunately changing the preferred fulfillment method and the default fulfillment method didn't work. I'll attach some screenshots and a preview link.

those are some screenshots of the problem. screenshot 1-4 are showing the steps and how It fixes itself by entering in a local delivery address and screenshot 5 shows what its like if there isn't a local delivery option
I believe it is the shop all template too. that was the only page besides home that was on the website before I started to add items and other pages
