hyperlink is not linked to a word

If I select a word in my text and add a hyperlink, the hyperlink will appear at the beginning of my text instead of after the word! Can anyone help me with this problem?

(I know the way to make a hyperlink).

It's tough to pinpoint what's the cause here without being able to replicate. Hare you using Square Online or Weebly ? 

I would first suggest trying the following browser troubleshooting steps to see if this resolve your issue:

• Make sure your browser is up to date.
• Clear the cache on your browser (access the Help menu of your browser to locate step-by-step instructions).
• Switch to a different browser, such as Google Chrome or Safari.
• Switch to an incognito window.

If you're still unable to add a hyperlink, could you share a screencast of the behavior ?

In Chrome it works okay. So I have a way out.

But I"ll rather work in Safari 😐

I work in Weebly

I can no longer select a word in a text and link it to a hyperlink. When I do that, the page I'm referring to appears at the beginning of my text. 

I know how to link a hyperlink and am doing it correctly but there is probably something wrong.

I've tried the things you suggested except working in another browser. I will try that. But I work on a Mac and like to use Safari. 😶

Make sure to highlight the word first, then add the hyperlink; if the link still appears at the beginning, try updating or reinstalling your text editor software.

In Chrome it works, in Safari it doesn't.

Can you please post a link to your website, and also describe the exact area on the site where the hyperlink should be? Can you also confirm if your Safari browser is up-to-date, and if you have tried opening a private browser window in Safari?

About the exact area… there is no exact area, the problem is at any place where I want to make a link.

My Safari browser is up-to-date, and yes, I’ve already tried it in a private browser window. 
The only solution for me at this time is using another web browser. But that’s not the solution I prefer.
