Where does our money go for the 2-3 days? why does it take so long

I have only done 2 transactions over the last 2 weeks and have had to wait 3-4 days before the money hits my account.  I am with NAB; can you guys tell me if its the same with your business and or is because it is larger amounts of money 2 x $3000+

If you're on our automatic transfer schedule, funds will automatically be sent to your nominated bank account on a next-business-day basis, regardless of the amount being transferred. Until your funds are transferred, they'll be visible in your Square Balance. Learn more about different transfer options available here.

Did the transactions perhaps happen on the weekend? Under balance you can set the automatic transfer settings.  If you set it to automatic/next business day I receive both my Sat/Sun transfers on Monday. There is a short lag between the email i get confirming the transfer, and the actual money hitting the account (only a couple of hours). I also bank with NAB.

Is the delay between the transaction and the transfer email, or the transfer email and the funds arriving ?
