Use square terminal with app

I’m not sure where this belongs, so feel free to move it around. I’ve mentioned/asked for/requested this multiple times. Is there a way to use Square Terminal with the Square app? It’s a major inconvenience when someone buys multiple items, which you begin entering on the app, only to have the customer present a card, and have to start over again, on the terminal. It would be useful to be able to tap a button in the app, and have everything automatically show up on the terminal. The terminal is great, but kind of makes the iPad/iPhone app obsolete. 

I also operate a star micronics mpop til. While the printer for this till is supported by Square, the cash drawer is not; through terminal. So I can take cash transactions through the app, but I can’t access my til, without a third-party app, if I’m using terminal.

You are correct here - there currently is no way to link the SPOS app with the Square Terminal. The Terminal is designed to be an all-in-one payment hardware option, and can do everything that the regular SPOS app does. 

What specifically are you looking to accomplish between switching the same transaction between the two devices? Would love to get some context here in order to best assist.

Not so much switching between devices; more streamlining. I do as many cash transactions as I do card transactions. I would like for there to be a way to use the terminal with the square app. Say, I start a transaction in the app, but the customer wants to use a card. Rather than having to cancel the transaction in the app, and start over in the terminal (which is time-consuming and slows down the transaction process), it would be helpful if there were a button that you could hit, that would activate the terminal. Like how you see it done in most big box stores. Heck, Dream Payments had that feature from the beginning, which is actually why I switched to them. 
I also find it strange that the app supports the mPOP printer and cash drawer, but the terminal only supports the printer. So, if I’m taking a card payment, and the customer wants cash back, I have to use a third-party app to access my cash drawer.

Another thing I’d like see is shared cash drawers between the terminal and app. I have to start and maintain separate drawers for both devices. If I record a cash sale on my app, I then have to manually record the same sale on my terminal. When I open/close a drawer/recorder pay-in/out.
