I'm thinking about migrating our current membership solution to Square subscriptions feature. Prior tdoing that I have a few questions.
1- is this a complete feature in the basic (0$) Square plan?
2- Once a person subscribe, can I automatically apply a specific discount when they have an active subscription?
3- Can you customize your subscription related message (when you are soliciting / for a new or renew plan)
4- Can you easely view how is active or not on a speadsheet or within the interface. This is usful to us when a member show up in person and we have to check if they are active or not.
Thanks for your input.

1- is this a complete feature in the basic (0$) Square plan?
- Yes, there is no cost to use subscriptions.
2- Once a person subscribes, can I automatically apply a specific discount when they have an active subscription?
-You can add a discount to the subscription.
3- Can you customize your subscription-related message (when you are soliciting / for a new or renewed plan) :
-You cannot edit the related messaging.
4- Can you easely view how is active or not on a speadsheet or within the interface. This is usful to us when a member show up in person and we have to check if they are active or not.
- You can export the subscriptions from the Dashboard, and it does have a column to show you the status of the subscription.

Hello @LaCyclerie ๐
For the automatic discounts, would this be for online sales or in-person? And are you referring to granting them a discount on merchandise or services whenever they have an active subscription?
It would be worth looking into Square Loyalty, as this way, customers would be able to redeem rewards both in-person or online.
Although you can restrict discounts to only certain categories, they would look quite different for in-person vs online sales, since you a limiting them to only your subscribed customers.
Let me know more about how to plan to apply these discounts and I can dive deeper into the best way to reach your goal.
As for a $0 subscription... Would this subscription have the same details as a, paid subscription? If so, creating a 100% discount would probably be best.
You can add a new discount right from the Create Subscription page.
Hopefully, this information is helpful.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you โจ

For my second question. How do you configure this?
Can it be on specific articles categories?
Also, can you have a 0$ based subscription? Some of our member get a free membership when they meet certains criterias.
Thanks
Claude
