Square guaranteed refunds? I'm a customer buying a large ticket item.
I am buying a large ticket item from a seller that could be trying to scam me. The seller claims in the invoice that after 90 days, if I don't receive the product, square will guarantee a refund and he will have no say in the matter. Is this true?

@JamesE2 sounds like a scam...and that is not square's policy. Refund policies are up to the individual merchant but I can refund someone If I choose To within 1 year. You would need to contact your credit card company for a chargeback and they would initiate from their side a refund. Debit cards are similar except you contact the bank. It would be up to your financial institution their policy.
More than likely, a large transaction on a new square account could get held up by square, but you would know nothing about that. Square sometimes freezes funds on sellers with dubious transaction history or a new account trying to process large not in person payments.
The only real protection for a square merchant is in person chip or tap transactions, those you would have a much harder time doing a chargeback if at all.
I would do what you are doing and look at the return policy, but anyone who is saying square is guaranteeing a refund is probably in violation of the terms of service.
