Link to Square Privacy Policy - GB

I use Square to collect payments through my website and as such would like to include a link to Square's privacy policy for GB users. This used to work prior to the Jan 1 2023 changes to Square's website but now has become problematic.

On this page: https://squareup.com/gb/en/legal/general/privacy the link I require is at the end of this sentence:

"If you are a consumer shopping at a business that uses Square, please refer instead to the Privacy Notice available here."

You will see that the "here" links to: https://squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy-no-account, all good so far. However, if I link to this page from my website I am prompted to either go to the United Kingdom website or continue to the United States page, again all good you might think. My users would naturally click "United Kingdom" which unfortunately links to Square's GB home page and they would then have to go searching for the Privacy Notice - if they can be bothered.

So, what I would like is for the "United Kingdom" link to follow through to a GB version of the 'privacy-no-account' page.

Hope this makes sense.

Hey @kerry_1066, thank you for flagging this! I went looking high and low for a GB version of the privacy policy but couldn't find one anywhere! I've escalated this to our teams to double-check if I haven't overlooked something. I'll let you know here once I have more information!

Hey @kerry_1066, just letting you know I have filed a ticket requesting a UK version of the page you are looking for. I'll let you know once I have more updates on this.

Let me know if you need anything else in the meantime!

Hi @kerry_1066, thank you for your patience and apologies for the late response.

So at the moment, there isn't a separate URL for the privacy notice applicable to buyers without an account in the UK and EU. However, the content on the US page is still applicable to users without a Square account based in the UK, so you'd still be able to use the US link.

Ok, thanks for trying @k_atie, a first time visitor to the Square site is prompted, with a pop-up, to either select "Continue to United States (English)" or "United Kingdom (English)". To get to the privacy policy you mention a GB visitor would need to click on the first link, which would be counter intuitive. I might need to add an explanation to that effect together with the link, on my website.

No problem, @kerry_1066. Yes, I can imagine being redirected to a blank page may be confusing to those visiting your site. I have since passed that feedback on to our teams responsible for these pages, so hopefully, we'll be able to publish a page for UK visitors soon.

Let me know if you need anything else!
