Automated Marketing no voucher code on email

Hi Everyone,

 

I've been playing around with using square automated marketing and it seems to be working-customers are receiving emails.  However, they aren't receiving the [unique-auto-generated-code}-the email just says [code] like square marketing should be inserting a code and it's not doing this.  I'll call marketing on monday but has anyone else had this issue?

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear your customers did not receive their code. 

 

Did some of your customers let you know about this issue? 

 

Usually, your previews will show a few numbers in place of the actual code that will be generated for each customer, but the actual email they receive will have their unique codes. 

 

I took a look at the latest reports we've received from Sellers and not seeing anything similar to the issue you are describing. 

 

If you have a screenshot you could attach here, that would be awesome. 

 

I'll keep an eye out for your reply, hopefully, you have reached support and they were able to resolve this.

Hi Frances_A,

 

I've had a few customers mention this to me and have emailed me the same message.  Unfortunately I can't save their emails to share here-I think they have attached it from apple devices.  Essentially the email is sent with the following text.  


Here's a deal just for you!

How does 10% off your next purchase sound?

Just enter the discount code [code] at checkout.

This is what the customer gets.  Squares advice was to send them another code-but if I set up a voucher code the customer will be able to re use the code until the code expires as well as give it to friends.  The automated marketing campaign sends out a one time use code, so we could potentially lose out by sending them a voucher code. 

 

Any thoughts?
