I need correct information-my ABN is not correct

I changed my business in 2017- I thought I changed it on square- the business name is correct but the ABN isn’t - it’s the old ABN for old business- do I have to deactivate my account to set new account-I have same email?

If your ABN has changed, you'll have to create a new Square account, as the ABN on a Square Account can't be edited retroactively. In order to create a new account, you'll need to use an email address that's not already in use with Square.

A workaround to free up your preferred email address for your new account would be to change the email address on your current account to a secondary email address you have. 

 

To edit the email address on your account, go to Account & Settings  in your dashboard. From here, enter your secondary email address in the email field and click Save. Like this, your preferred email address will be freed up and ready to use when you create your new Square account here
