We contacted a locksmith and a person came to do the job. However, their square receipt has a totally different phone number, business name, and address from the company we called. The service was very creepy and now we are worried about their safety in regard to our credit card. Can I verify with someone if this is a legitimate account for them to process our card? Thanks!

Hi there, @Bradford2023 👋 My name is Violet and I'm one of the Moderators here in the Square Seller Community.
I echo the suggestions provided here by @JK_Fiber_Art and @Candlestore to see if the company can give you reassurance that the individual is associated with their business. If for some reason they were logged into the wrong Square account at the time of the transaction, they can always refund you and take the payment under the correct account for their records.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.

Good question however, I don't believe that Customer Support will provide any information (it's a privacy policy which is not uncommon in the industry). There are things you can do your end - here's some suggestions. Do a search on the internet - see what comes up about this company. If the company has a website, search the Domain Name (Whois) - you may find out who hosts them which could lead back to Square. (Also if they are using Square's online website services, that's easy to figure out.) Check the BBB - see if there's any comments and/or ratings. Last, closely monitor your credit card transactions, if anything strange shows other than your one transaction with that company, contact your card issuer asap. If any of the volunteer community members here have some additional tips, I'm sure you will hear from them.

The other thing to add to what @JK_Fiber_Art said is you may want to call the Locksmith you contacted first. They may use a sub contractor instead of having their own employees. The other thing is because of how busy they might have been, they may have subbed this job out to get you in your locked item. There are other reasons why this may have happened besides being a fake or scammer is my point. I also understand there are alot of different types of scams and it is always better to be safe sorry.
