Automatic Discounts

I've set up my store, however I can't seem to figure out how to set up discounts. Our store has specialty nights, so for Monday's is Mac and Cheese Monday. From 5pm-11pm Mac & Cheese dishes are 50% off. How can I set that up? Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi @hudsonstap Thanks for reaching out! We don't currently support discounts the way the Square dashboard allowed, but it is definitely something our teams are working to bridge. In the meantime, you can create coupons so that users can still receive the discounts. To create a coupon, log in the Weebly dashboard and click Manage Store>Items>Coupons. You can assign coupons to specific categories or items, and choose the date range when they are valid.

This is a MUCH needed feature.  I worked (fought) with Square for years to implement this feature.  They now have a robust, feature-rich discounting system.

WEEBLY, we don't initially need something as robust as Square's discounting system, but the ability to simply "auto-apply" coupons would be very helpful.  Eventually, the pricing should simply come from Square, so any discounts set up there would apply online and we would not have to set up discounts twice.

@hudsonstap the best thing to do for now is to create a coupon, then create a popup giving every customer the coupon code.

Thanks for the feedback, @jsciabica Our teams are still working on combining the two systems so that stores can have access to the same coupon/discount offerings that you can create the Square. Hopefully this will be available soon!

Thanks for reaching out @bgibby84 Yes, I believe this is something the teams are still trying to make available. It might be possible to create a work around by using the Time Based Categories option. You would need to add the items to multiple categories if the items are available at all times but different prices during certain days or hours.

Agreed. We *really* need the ability to have folks buy a batch of items for a reduced price--buy three get one free or something like that *without* a coupon code they have to enter. How can we make this happen?

Please provide an update on where Weebly stands with the automatic discounts. I have competitors that can offer this through their platforms and this is obviously costing me business since I cannot offer deals like 5 for $20 if the items are not all the exact same price. If I were to use a generic coupon code for this then they would loose out on the freeshipping code we offer since we are also limited on coupon use per order. Weebly appears to be well behind the competition on this aspect and without some type of fix I am not sure we will be able to continue using Weebly.

@Evan76 I'm really sorry to hear the frustration regarding your hopes for this feature. I definitely see the importance of this feature and I know we are tracking requests and that it's on our roadmap, but I do not have any more information to share in regards to when it will be released. It may still be a while before we are able to release it.
